• During the late 1970s and early 1980s computers became more affordable to schools, permitting a rapid decrease in student-to-computer ratios
• Towards the end of the 1980s and into the 1990s while the computer literacy rationale remained(Hanna fin & Savenye, 1993s; Hussein, 1996s)

• Since the beginning of the 1990s educators have been particularly concerned that very little of the potential of computers to support learning in school seems to have been realized, despite a sufficient installed base of computers

• In 1993s, a project titled “Computer Literacy” in Pakistan , s schools (CLIPS) was launched with the assistance of IBM, SEMEA, Karachi. IBM is providing 300 computers, 150 printers to 150 schools throughout the country free of cost

• In 1995 another project on the “Introductory of Computer Studies as a Subject in Secondary Schools” has been launched by Ministry Of Science and Technology

• Computer helps to increase the activity during study and give comfort to the learner.
• In private schools the use of computers are very common and their focus on the learning through the use of technology.
• They teach the learner through the use of Microsoft office and multimedia.

• Public institutes fail to provide the qualified teachers and quality of education
• Due to lack of budget and facilities they are not working up to the mark and not fulfilling the basic requirements of education
• Some public institutes have computers but not utilize.

• Students use a variety of learning programs or reinforce basic skills in math language, reading and other subjects
• Students are using computers to create multimedia presentations
