at TSC. The students have created designs for three new community gardens in Brownsville. Once a design is chosen, construction will commence. We invite you to enjoy the final presentation and share thoughts and ideas.

• Participated on the annual Gladys Porter “Boo at the Zoo” event with the EMS students.

• Texas Southmost College students in their first year of Emergency Medical Science studies volunteered to participate at the Gladys Porter Zoo’s annual “Boo at the Zoo”

• These two nights are GPZ’s alternative to traditional door-to-door trick or treating and are held on the zoo grounds.
• Some of the students decided to participate by dressing up . Today a paramedic, tomorrow a doctor.
RNCANCER FEST
• ADN generic students in their fourth semester assisted with the Cancer Fest. These students helped by selling t-shirts.

• ADN students participated with the SPI Breast Cancer Awareness Walk for Women.

• As ADN students, they are already promoting health and awareness in their community through their participation in local events.

• The ADN students also helped with the HEB annual Feast of Sharing that was held here on campus.
• The ADN students always serve with a smile! These students will be graduating at the end of this semester.

• Diagnostic Medical Sonography students provide abdominal and Obstetric sonograms for the community.
• The student scans the examination for practice and the community is engaged by discovering what their abdomen or baby looks like. DO NOT NEED THIS SLIDE –JUST EXPLAIN

MLAB• The project consists of educating the
community of Brownsville about the importance of recycling.

• The museum is a cultural center that provides free of charge music lessons, dancing, concerts and other events to the community of Brownsville, free of charge.

and gardening. The MLT student’s community service is to help paint and clean the garden.

Description of Activity: Refrigerators were donated from these organizations to TSC. The students would repair them and refrigerators would then be donated. They would be donated to the families that were recommended by the Child Protective Services.
