• It is the short word for Wikipedia• Ward Cunningham is the developer of the

first wiki software• Wiki is a Hawaiian word which means “fast” • It is a wed application in which people can

add and delete content, modify and collaborate with other people in the world.

• The text of the wiki is usually in mark-up language or in a rich-text editor

• Wiki is very helpful in sharing information about something to other people

SOCIAL BOOKMARKING

• An online service which enables users to add, edit, and share bookmarks of web documents.

In 2003, Delicious popularize the term “book marking” and “tagging”

Some examples are Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo.

Many online bookmark management services have launched since 1996

HTML

o Short term for Hypertext Markup Language

o Tim Berners Lee was the first person who introduced the HTML

o Language used to create documents and files on the World Wide Web

o It defines the structure and layout of a Web document by using a variety of tags and attributes.

o The structure of the HTML is <HTML><HEAD>(enter here what document is about)<BODY> and ends with </BODY></HTML>.

It is also called a Netcast

It is a digital Medium consisting

files that when you subscribe,

you can download it through a

computer or mobile device

It is a short term for Voice over Internet Protocol A methodology and group of technologies for the delivery of voice

communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet.

Also associated with IP telephony, Internet telephony, voice over broadband, broadband telephony communications, and broadband phone service.

Online Chat It refers to any kind of

communication over the internet

The messages are short that enables the speaker to respond quickly

WWWIt is the abbreviation

of World Wide WebIt is a system of

interlinked hypertext documents accessed through the internet

Tim Berners Lee was the one who proposed the WWW

Without the “WWW” we cannot access sites in the internet because it will cause an error

you can express yourself through the discrete entries or what we know as post.

It is like an online diary where some things you can show to other people and some you can keep for yourself.

A popular example of this is twitter.

You can also post in the social networking sites where you can express yourself

Locator It is also known as the web address It is standardized by Tim Berners Lee It is a specific character string that

constitutes a reference to a source. An example: "http://en.example.org/wiki/Main_Page"
