• The colour wheel shows relationships between the colours.
• Artists often use the color wheel to help understand how colours relate to one another.
COLOUR MIXING • It's easy to mix paints to make new colours. You can use
the primary colors (red, blue, and yellow) plus black and white to get all of the colours of the rainbow!

Primary Colours
• The primary colours are red, blue, and yellow.
• Primary colors cannot be made from other colours.
Secondary Colours
• The secondary colours are orange, green, and purple.
• Secondary colours are made from mixing the primary colors.
COLOUR MIXINGPrimary + Secondary
When you mix the Primary colours together, you get the Secondary colours.
• Mixing primary and secondary colours creates tertiary colours.Tertiary colours include:
1)Red-Violet
2)Blue-Violet
3)Blue-Green
4)Yellow Green
