Company History• The company (Coca Cola) was invented in 1882

by Dr John Pemberton. John Pemberton was a average local pharmacist, who came up with the taste and idea.

• He sold it in his pharmacy for the cheap price of 5 cents(3p), it started selling like wildfire and because of this even more flavours were released such as Vanilla, Lime, and Orange.

• Despite all the sales coca cola wanted to match its rival Pepsi, they thought that buy changing the taste of coca cola they could and it was one of the worst mistakes they ever made. Coca cola sales dropped and people kept complaining about the taste of ‘New Coca Cola’ . To answer to this they changed Coca Cola back to the old taste.

• And as usual people still love the traditional coca cola.

Target Market

• I think that the target market has definitely changed over the years as before Coca Cola used to be aimed at adults and young children. Now it is aimed mainly at teenagers who buy and drink the product the most, not all adults now enjoy it like when it was first released.
