MGIMO University of Moscow - 2010

On the occasion of Russia’s year in France, the CMH and the IEMI have concluded a partnership in order to train specialists in Tourism, Hospitality, Food & Beverage and Leisure. A common MBA will be developed in Management of Sports, in concordance with the next Olympic Games, in Sotchi.

Russian Foreign Trade Academy of Moscow - 2010

The IEMI has signed an agreement with the Russian Foreign Trade Academy of Moscow to establish a double degree for the MBA program, the Executive MBA in International Hospitality Management and the DBA.

BOND University of Queensland - 2010

The BOND University and the EMC have signed a partnership concerning an exchange of students through the IEMI MBA in International Hospitality management. IEMI students who want to develop an international vision of Hospitality Management can spend a semester in the Hotel and Tourism School of BOND University.

OUR INTERNAL EVENTS

Graduation 2010

The graduation ceremony of the CMH, ISTI and IEMI students took place in the Hoche lounge in Paris. European Bachelor, Bs/Bachelor of Science and European MBA degrees were delivered to our most thrilled students.

Sir Alexander Orlov, Russian Ambassador in France and IEMI partners Vladimir Burenin and Dr Tatiana Polyanova were invited to celebrate this graduation.

MBA - European Seminary in Brussels

MBA and Executive MBA students followed a seminary on Management, applied to Europe and its institutional impact in Brussels, from April 15th to 18th 2010.

The main subjects were sustainable development and the European program in tourism. Students could discuss the lobbying in Europe and the financial help process to develop deserving companies.

They ended their stay with a visit of the European Parliament.

ECBE – 15th Annual Conference, in Lausanne

The 15th annual conference of the European Council for Business Education was organized in Lausanne on May 27th, 28th and 29th 2010.

The main topic of this conference was the Co-operation and Competition in both Leisure and Service Industries. Several speakers and professors from different universities shared their experience during the meeting.

Sustainable luxury fair – Palais de Tokyo, in Paris

CMH-IEMI has participated in this one of a kind fair, organized from May 6th to 10th, 2010 by 1.618 Productions in the Museum Palais de Tokyo, in Paris. This event gave our students the opportunity to discover another way of developing luxury goods through a modern and ethical approach. Arts, innovation and sustainable development were the strength of the show.

Gilles Goujon, from the restaurant l’Auberge du Vieux Puits , in Fontjoncousse, won 3 stars in the famous Guide Michelin 2010.

Conference: Corporate tourism

– International SKAL of Paris –2009

The SKAL Club of Paris invited ISTI students to its conference on corporate tourism, last November, at the Hotel Marriott Rive Gauche in Paris. A presentation on INCENTIVES was done by Eric Chardonnat – Director of Boulevard de la STIM. Georges FREIHA – Associate Director of Meedex – provided further details on the different events dedicated to this market.

Feria Internacional de turismo - FITUR Show, in MADRID 2010

It is one of the greatest shows dedicated to International Tourism, in Europe. The EMC covered this event and interviewed Sabine Schwanz and Paloma Hernandez, Spanish tourist office leaders. The EMC reporters also interviewed Marcelo Risi, the Media Officer of the UNWTO.

World Tourism Show – March 2010

About 100 000 visitors were attended the 35th edition of the World Tourism Show in Paris. From March 18th to 21st, 2010, people could discover all the new trends in tourism, particularly sustainable tourism. Jean-Pierre Martinetti, sustainable tourism and culture City director, explained the signification and the ways to support this kind of tourism. The tourism minister of Congo has accepted to answer our questions about the future of sustainability in tourism and in Congo.

The World SPA show was held from March 13th to 15th 2010, in the Palais des Congrès of Paris. Various products were presented to the visitors such as a massager developed with new technologies
