Chatswood Ten kilometers north of Sydney’s CBD, lies Willoughby City in which the suburb of Chatswood is located. This suburb came into existence in 1876. It was named after the wife of Willoughby’s mayor at that time. Although her name was Charlotte, her nickname was ‘Chattie’ from which Chatswood was eventually named. Chatswood’s neighboring suburbs include Castle Cove, Osborne Park, Roseville and Willoughby. There are several shopping complexes in Chatswood, the main centers being Westfield Chatswood and Chatswood Chase. As can be expected, many commercial businesses are located in and around Chatswood.
