DESCRIPTION
Every teacher wants to have an effective classroom where students do their work, are responsible, and exhibit comprehension and achievement. This is possible if a teacher knows how to manage a classroom. Just knowing the subject matter does not make a teacher. A teacher is the one who guides, manages, conducts and facilitates the learning in a way that adequate conditions for the students to learn are provided. This paper will discuss the five most important characteristics of an effective teacher and also try to analyze why some teachers who possess these qualities fail as teachers.
