Our classmate from Brazil is very athletic. His

name is Antonio Gonzales. His friends call him tony. He

is the oldest son in his family. His family sent him here

to learn English and to study business. Then he will

return to his home and work in his family company.

Tony is a big sport fan. He watches sports on television

all the time. His favorite sport is soccer. After all, he is

from Brazil! I would like to play soccer with Tony after

class some day.

To find it, make a question by putting what after an action verbNoun or pronounCertain verbs MUST have objects, such as need, want, give, have, like, love…

1. Action verbs name an action that produced by the subject, and they can have objects, such as watch, hit, play… etc.

2. Linking verbs link the subject with the rest of the sentence, and they don’t have objects, such as be, look, feel… etc Example: My classmate is from Riyadh. She looksfriendly. I feel happy with her.

The first word in a sentence. My classmate is from Riyadh. She likes cats.

The pronoun I. My mother and I like cats.

Names of people and their titlesPresident Barak Obama.A title without a name is not capitalize but if this title refers to specific person it is capitalized. There are many presidents in the hall. The President of USA is there too.

Nationalities. My friends are Saudi, Swedish and British.Languages. I can speak English, Chinese and French very well.Religions. They are Muslims, Jewish and Buddhist. Ethnic group Native ethnic groups of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan self-identify themselves as Asian.

Names of school courses with numbers. I study English1220.Don’t capitalize the school subjects except names of nationalities, languages, religions and college classes with numbers

Specific places you could find on the map. I was in USA. I visited New York City and I spent along time in the Times Square. I went to Disneyland.
