INTRODUCTION

•EXOSOME: is a multiprotein complex that is able to degrade RNAs different types, some of its proteins are responsible for antigen autoantibodies autoimmune diseases that block the activity of the complex

•HEMOPURIFIER®: first medical device to remove infectious virus and immunosuppressive proteins from circulation.

•This medical device capture exosomes secreted by tumors that suppress the immune system of patients with cancer, is selective filtration containing agents that have affinity and bind to the structures of the surface of exosomes that are produced by the cancer and glycoproteins living in a shell of the virus.

Eliza used for this discovery that is a enzyme-linked immunosorbent for the diagnosis of hiv to be confirmed with a western blot, which created a medical device that provides a benefit in the therapy of immune NOT ADD toxic or drug interactions.

METHOD OF USE: Agents are immobilized on porous hollow fibers 2800 that run along the inside of device. The resulting design provides the ability to separate the novel that focuses on the viral exosome outside the blood cells which can be selectively and permanently removed from circulation. In the application, establishing blood circulation in the Hemopurifier ® through a catheter or other access device blood.

As a therapeutic device, the Hemopurifier® provides with a pipeline into four significant market opportunities:1.Cancer: A treatment candidate to improve patient responsiveness to established cancer therapies by removing immunosuppressive exosomes from circulation.

2.Hepatitis-C Virus (HCV): As an adjunct therapy to accelerate viral load reduction at the outset of standard of care drug regimens.

3.Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV):  Provides a potential therapeutic option for HIV-infected individuals to manage disease progression once they become resistant to antiviral drug regimens.

STUDENT OBSERVATION

This discovery is very important as it allows meet new ways to quickly diagnose inmunosupressive diseases and cancer, and can be managed new therapies

THE LATES ON HIV SCREENING,

DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT IN PRIMARY CARE.

Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HARRT), can be reduce morbidity and mortality of patients with HIV / aids and living longer and the development of disease is slower

Page 12: C:\fakepath\plegable mj

THE LATES ON HIV SCREENING,

DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT IN PRIMARY CARE.

The virus can become resistant to antiretroviral drugs and antiretroviral therapy would not be as effective as it can spread to others through breast milk, blood, sexual and perinatal also against HIV drugs interact with medications commonly prescribed.

THE LATES ON HIV SCREENING,

DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT IN PRIMARY CARE.

If the diagnosis is HIV positive to include the laboratory of HIV viral load and CD4T cell count of determining the prognosis and the level of urgency to begin therapy.

STUDENT OBSERVATION

I think that the use of antiretroviral therapy mucho better quality of life of patients with terminal illnes and that is a good method to reduce the mortality an morbidity of HIV/aids.

MEDICAL UTILITY

Research by these early diagnosis can any disease and may prevent the spread of the virus and bring these complications, improving the quality of life of these patients and providing timely and treatment effective as possible.

Page 16: C:\fakepath\plegable mj

MEDICAL UTILITY

Through the creation of these devices can be treated the immunosuppressive ill give them an immune therapy prevent any damage, toxicity and drug interactions

Page 17: C:\fakepath\plegable mj

MEDICAL UTILITY

Another important factor in determining the infectious diseases exosome discovery is that we can diagnose cancer, the progression and the state in which is the patient.a white future could be a medical to treat and prevent diseases such timely start treatment to prevent complications.

MEDICAL UTILITY

This discovery contributes to the understanding of the pathophysiology of cancer and HIV / AIDS, their characteristics, complications and treatment, with emphasis on the usefulness of molecular biology.
