Adam Tyler and Rob Thomas from Hollow Dell Media were invited to come back to NHC to provide current media students with some advice and inspiration on developing their own media careers, specifically through speaking about their own online portfolio.

So, what was the feedback?

We asked the students what they thought of the workshop and the feedback was really positive. They developed their blogging and editing skills as well as learning about how these alumni entrepreneurs had transitioned from the college environment to their own successful media company.

Adam and Rob’s energy, passion and enthusiasm for their subject really captured the attention of the group and it was great to get some industry insight from past students of the college. “Just a word of thanks for today… a real rush of nostalgia… So much has been done to improve the facilities but the atmosphere that inspired us as teens is still there. The best thing of all? The young people themselves. As someone who has been in the exact position they’re in, it’s truly great to see how clued up and supported they are now…”
