Challenging problems are transformed into creative ideas, innovations, strategies and solutions through dialogue, leadership, communication and participatory interaction.

We used various technique like:

•Team Building and Action Planning (for internal workshops)

•LegoSeriousPlay, MODI’ Digital Mosaic, Knowledge and World Café, Idea Boxes ( to involve the target)

Challenges and solutions

Challenge 4

Institutions and Local Authorities go face to face with public: communication and participation is a risk? Public participation in decision making

Challenge 3

Solution 4Solution 3

Clarify public role and competences in a transparent and smart modality.

New language approach and new perspective

Discuss about technical problems and themes (hazard and risk maps, Flood Risk Management Plans, etc) with citizens and local communities (non expert stakeholders)

Challenge 2

Feedback mechanisms and participation are essential ingredients to developed effective policies

Challenge 1

Solution 2Solution 1

Stakeholder engagement with innovative mechanisms

Team building and Action Planning

New orchestration capability needs to be developed

Tips to share

Tip 1

Taking the time to process design and internal sharinge tip

Tip 2

Do not be discouraged by the (normal) difficulty: every problem is a challenge to overcome

Tip 3

Do not be afraid to do things they have never done: innovation goes from there!

Tip 3

Participation is a hard task for citizens, but can be extremely interesting: dedicate your time in these initiatives!!
