• Cairo is the capital of Egypt and Egypt is in north east of Africa which is the second largest continent in the world

• There are roughly 17 million people living in Cairo, and compared to London, our capital city, that is quite a lot of people

• 80 to 90% of Egyptians are Muslim and 10% are Christians
