1 Carry out dilapidation survey or pre-construction condition

survey of existing buildings;

Carry out pre-purchase building survey of building condition

through inspection and checking;

Checking of procedural requirements of drawings and buildings

to ensure compliance to by-laws and regulations;

Inspect and prepare programmes for implementing

maintenance management, asset, facilities and refurbishment

works of building; and

Inspect and prepare reports on conditions of buildings, post-

occupancy evaluation of buildings conditions and risk

assessment.

Building Surveyors (BS) Continuous Professional Development Program (CPD) is to ensure the registered building surveyors of the

Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) have an equivalent level of competence in practicing building surveying scope of work, in order

to provide the best service to the community and country.

CPD introduced collection points system through the involvement of Building Surveyors in various events or activities organized by the

Building Surveying Division RISM / RISM / government or organizer who are registered / recognized by the Building Surveying Division

RISM / RISM.

Building surveyors need to collect the prescribed number of points during their active period of the registration and the number of points

accumulated will be used for renewal purpose in the future.

Equivalent level of competence in practicing building surveying scope of work

‘Clause No. 8.0 – For each transfer class of membership application, the CPD points must be the pre-requisite of the candidate to be followed and completed, before the

transfer is going to be approved. In the event of non-fulfilment, the transfer application shall be suspended and

pending until the candidate complete the CPD points required

For Registered BS, license renewal is pending approval(required 20 points per year)
