anthem you have been given. Try to answer the following questions;

1. What is the anthem saying about the place?

2. What is the tone of the music?

Be prepared to feed back to the rest of the class.

How united is the United Kingdom?• Read through the card you have been given. Make

(brief) notes about what the person on the card is saying;– Are they for or against the UK?– Why do they hold this opinion?

• What do these opinions tell us about identity within the UK? Does everyone in the UK feel ‘British’ or ‘English’?
