2. What Bald Eagles Look Like Bald eagles have 2 legs, 2 wings, 2 claws and 1 yellow curved beak. They have strong talons and brown, black, and white feathers. Mature bald eagles are 30 inches long and can have a 7-foot wing span. 3. A Bald Eagles Habitat Bald eagles live in Central America or bald eagles live in woodlands. Bald eagles build nests in trees. They do not live in cold places such as the Arctic Ocean. 4. A Bald Eagles Life Cycle Female bald eagles lay one to three eggs. Bald eagles hatch in six weeks. Bald eagles live 20 to 40 years in the wild. 5. What Bald Eagles Eat The bald eagle eats fish, rabbit, squirrel and other small animals. They use strong talons to get their food. 6. A Bald Eagles Predators An occasional raccoon in the nest or rarely a great horned owl in the nest is a threat to the baby eagles only. Humans are destroying the eagles habitat in order to build things. 7. Interesting Facts Bald eagle are not bald. They have white feathers on their heads.
