My Second Proposal

Genre

BOOM will be a punk rock magazine that will change the way rock music is shown in

magazines.

Mind Map

Magazine Idea Two

Bangtime FontStrike Font

MastheadPossible Masthead Names• Bang• Boom• StrikeThese mastheads would be suitable as they all have quite gloomy and dark connotations. The mastheads also have a flashing connotation when picturing a ‘Bang’, ‘Boom’ or a ‘Strike’. The masthead would make the reader symbolise my magazine with fire, bright colours and destruction. This would suit this magazine idea because this would match the colour scheme.

Colour Scheme

This colour scheme would be suitable or the magazine because they are quite dark colours which most rock magazines have.

Images to be Taken• Makeup- Gothic• Clothing-Dark, ripped, gothic• Hair-Spikey/Coloured• Facial Expressions-Anger

Front CoverMy front page has many rock music connotations. The masthead is sharp and has rock connotations which conform with the competition of Kerrang and Rock Sound. The whole front cover has a ‘fire theme’, this furthers the dark and ‘punk rock’ music effect.

DPSMy double page spread has a completely different colour scheme to the first magazine idea, Klashed was more modern rock where this magazine is punk rock for more heavy rock bands. The colours convey this fierce, rock and punk look which will draw in any readers that prefer this type of rock music.
