In 5 years I want to be a screenwriter

A screenwriter is the writer of the script of a film. They are responsible for creating the dialogue, the characters and the story line of the movie script. Most screenwriters are greatly adept at weaving together visual elements within plot and dialogue. It is the screenwriter’s work that provides the directors, producers, actors and executives a project to work on. I want to be a screenwriter so I can have my own written images come to life through film.

A good first step to reaching my dream job is to be a Story Editor

By working as a story editor for film studios it would be easier to move into a screenwriting position after gaining the necessary experience. Also being a story editor for film studios would help establish valuable contacts needed to obtain a job as a screenwriter.

I plan on working my hardest at Full Sail University so I can get a degree and the training needed to be a good writer. I will obtain my starter job by contacting others while working on improving my own writing abilities.

After getting my Entry Job

After obtaining a job at my entry level position I would use that job to build connections with the companies, so they could see that I would be worth premoting to a screen writer. Also I would focus on doing a really good job at my entry level job so I could get the experience in the field and have good recommendations for the future.
