SOL 5a: The student will investigate and under-stand life functions of archaebacteria, monerans,(eubacteria), protists, fungi, plants, and animals including humans. Key concepts include how their structures and functions vary between and within the kingdoms.

SOL 2d: The student will investigate and understand the history of biological concepts. Key concepts include development of the structural model of DNA; ande: the collaborative efforts of scientists, past and present.

SOL 5f: The student will investigate and understandlife functions of archaebacteria, monerans(eubacteria), protists, fungi, plants, and animalsincluding humans. Key concepts include how virusescompare with organisms.

SOL 4a: The student will investigate and understandrelationships between cell structure and function.Key concepts include characteristics of prokaryoticand eukaryotic cells.

Welcome to our Biology Tree

Our group created a unit for Biology that reviews Virginia Biology SOLs on DNA, viruses, bacteria, and prokaryotes and eukaryotes. We created a Pearltree that linked various resources to the subject. The Pearltree is designed to allow students to click on a Biology SOL (DNA, Viruses, Bacteria, Prokaryotes/Eukaryotes) and review the material using various types of resources such as blogs, virtual labs, interactive sites, videos, and audio files in order to address as many learning styles as possible. Have a look at our Pearltree and enter the hidden world of Biology!
