CASE STUDY ALBUM COVER Many artists usually have a signature font which makes the consumer identify with the artist. It is recognition which makes the artist stand out more effectively. The main focus of an album cover should be the representation which the artist wants to portray. In the respect of Beyonce’s B’day album, there is a clear representation of glamour and sex appeal. It gives a direction of what the album will consist of, for instance, this seems to be a new sound for Beyonce, fresh and vibrant which is indeed conveyed through the blue’s and green’s in the background of the artist.. The focus point is on the artist, and this is interesting as she is not gazing directly in the camera which signifies a sense of escapism when listening to the music. The costume used in this album cover is simple and gold which is a depiction of the stardom and glamour of the artist involved, however with the intensity of the eye make up this makes up the simplicity which later blends with glamour. The hair resembles the style of the 1960’s which gives an authentic tone to the visuals. It is bright and eye catching which is essential for the formation of the persona which highlights the talented aspect of a star.
