What are Stray Dogs?Stray dogs are dogs that were born on the street. Stray dogs have learned to adapt to the city environment. For example they have learned to wait for a green light before crossing the street. Since they are color blind they have had to use their sense’s to get around. Some dogs have even learned to use the metro. For example they have used their hearing to listen to the voice on the intercom.

Safety Manual If you want to feel safe around stray dogs, try this: Don’t be scared, don’t feed them, don’t run away, and don’t make eye contact. Stray dogs do not like to be challenged.

How you can help stray dogsThe best way you can help decrease the number of stray dogs is to neuter/ sterilize your own pet. Another way to help them would be to not feed them, because it makes them more territorial.You should also not take them home because they are wild dogs and can’t live in an enclosed space.

The total number of stray dogs in Moscow is 35,000 making approximately 81 dogs per one square mile. Stray dogs have learned to adapt

to the wild environment. For example they have gotten pointier ears, bushier tails, thicker fur, and longer faces. Stray dogs have gotten out of their way to not antagonize people,

even pooping in the metro is rare. There are 3 different types of stray dogs, scavengers,

beggars, and nocturnal dogs. If you killed all of the stray dogs in Moscow the rodent

population would increase.

Stray Dog Cruelty/Rights• People used to cut up stray dogs for food like in a Chinese's

restaurant and say it is chicken, beef, ect.• Some artist use the stray dog for there own amusement. And

so do other people.• People can also kick out their dogs when they may have 2

dogs, since they may like their second dog more than the first one.
