6 Main Shots:
As a group, we've developed ideas from our planning in order to create the opening of our
thriller film.
The following shot ideas include our basic planned out images for important scenes we wish to
include in the opening of our thriller film.
The second main shot part, is where Iris looks at the note.
She picks it up and an extreme close up on her eyes as she stands to leave the scene.
The first shots we open with will be only short; all the shots establish the scene from different angles.
The female main character in the background, at no point is it clear to the audience who she is, her
identity anonymous.
The next shots will join Iris in the woods, where the first time the second
character is introduced.
The man is shown, through camera angles, to be more dominant and
superior, in comparison - with a high angled over-the-shoulder shot.
The confrontation with both characters; both showing they have identical
notes. With an extreme close up of the gun being pulled, but the audience
doesn't know who's drawing it.
The third sequence of shots will be Iris, the main female character
walking, this footage will also be short, getting to the main part of our
thriller opening. With close up on her feet walking,
the background dissolving into each scene.
Cliffhanger:
The cliffhanger of the relationship between them remains unclear, only because it's the opening of the film.
The use of these generalised characters makes it seem relatable to the audience.Along with my group, I really like the idea of this ending scene. The small specific ideas of the flower falling onto his body being an Iris, which is the main female character. Which can also
be seen by who signs off the note that he had, and dropped at his shooting.
The next sequence of shots consists of one of their notes dropping, unclear who it belonged
to. The note falls in slow-motion to the floor, the red-nailed hand picking it up.
The camera tracking up her arm to her face. Followed by a high over-the-shoulder shot
looking at the note in the foreground and man's body in the background.
Finally, an Iris flower falling onto the man's body which frames the bottom of the
screen. As the flower hits the body, screen cuts to black.
