BASIC COMPUTER TRAINING IN AMBALA
Definition of ComputerComputer is an electronic
machine which accepts data from us as an input, stores in memory and process it and finally give the result as an output.
It is a device which is used to do your work easier and faster.
Input & Output DevicesInput Devices Output Devices
Input devices are those devices which are used to give some input or enter any data in your system. For example: Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner etc.
Output devices are those devices which are used to take the results from your computer. For example: Monitor, Printer, Speaker etc.
CPUCPU stands for Central
Processing Unit.CPU is the main part of our
system as it is also called the brain of computer.
CPU store and process the data entered by the user and send it to output device to display that data to user.
Hard DiskHard disk is the storage device that is used in
the computer.It is a portable device. It can be removed
from and fixed again in computer.
RAM & ROMRAM ROM
o RAM stands for Read Access Memory.
o RAM is volatile and is erased when the computer is switched off.
o RAM is used for both read and write
o ROM stands for Read Only Memory.
o ROM is non-volatile and generally cannot be written to.
o ROM is used only for reading.
SMPSSMPS stands for Switched
Mode Power Supply.It is used to switch the
Alternating Current(AC) voltage into Direct current (DC) voltage which is required for our computer systems to work.
It is placed inside the C.P.U of our computer
KeyboardKeyboard is an Input device.It is used to give some input to your
computer by typing keys what we want to enter and store in computer.
MouseMouse is also an Input
device.It has two main buttons on
it which is called Primary and Secondary button(also called left click button and right click button and one ball in middle which is used for scrolling on screen.
It used sensor to detect the location on screen.
PrinterPrinter is an Output
device.It is used for printing the
documents from computer on paper as a hardcopy.
There are different types of printer available.
It uses ink for printing on paper.
MS OfficeMS Office stands for Microsoft Office
developed by Microsoft Corporation. It is the suite of products that includes
Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Each program servers a different purpose.
MS WordMS Word is an application of MS Office.It is used for the documentation work i.e.
to store the data in form of document. For example:- Resumes, novels and Files etc.
Word can include photos, charts and graphs, tables etc.
MS ExcelMS Excel is an another application of
MS Office.It is a spreadsheet that has rows and
columns to store data or record and also to organize data manipulations like arithmetic operations.
It is commonly used for record handling of schools, colleges, companies etc.
MS PowerPointMS PowerPoint is also an application of
MS Office.It uses a graphical approach to
presentations in the form of slide shows.This program is widely used in business
and classrooms.
