Once upon a time there was bear named Balto. He was angry with his

mother and his younger brother Lemi, because she devoted more time

to Lemi. Balto felt neglected, so he decided

of go away.

One early morning he set off without knowing

where to go. He put into his backpack three cods

and five tunas and began his adventure.

Page 4: Balto, Lucky Bear!

After three hours walking he saw an igloo and went

inside. Lying on a couch there was a penguin named Pingu who invited Balto to

stay for the night.

Balto and Pingu became great friends but Balto missed his

mother and his brother Lemi.

Pingu decided to take Balto

home.

After three hours walking they got to Balto’s

igloo. A huge flag was hanging on the roof

with Balto’s face printed on it!

Balto understood it was home. Lemi, Balto and

his mother lived happily together ever after.
