Audience Research Survey Results

Question 1 My first question I asked my audience who was answering my survey was their age. The result came back with 87.50% were under the age of 18 and 12.50% came back with 18-24, 8 people answered this question.

Question 2 My second question was asking the gender of the person who was answering my survey, 7 out of the 8 people who answered were female leaving the other to be male.

Question 3 For my third question, I asked people their hobbies in which I received a variety of different answers, although some where similar. Several answers came back as going out with friends, dancing, shopping and designing.

Question 4

With this question there quite a wide range of answers as to how often people watch films. The range was between three times a week up to three times a month. Showing roughly that the average person sees one film per week, although there are people who see both more and less.

Question 5 For this question I asked the audience for their favourite romance genre. With this I also received varied answers but there was a winner, Mystery/thriller romance had thee people answer as their favourite where as romantic comedy and adventure romance both had two people answer as their favourite genre and the other person answered with other and said ‘a romantic drama’.

Question 6

I asked the audience what they expected to see within a romance trailer, for this question they were open to write what they agreed would suit the trailer. Many people agreed that there should be two main characters who have a connection and fall for each other. A couple people agreed that they would expect to see famous actors.

Question 7 For this question I received 12 answer of which 8 of them agreed 18- 34 was a suitable and appealing range for the main characters of the trailer, 2 votes went to both 35- 54 and below 18.

Question 8 My last question of my survey I asked the favourite romantic film which I received all different answers for although some are similar. Two of my answers were blank with no answer, the other six were all different films and all different reasons as to why they liked these films.
