Oprah was born on January 29th 1954 in Mississippi.She was born in a small shack with no one nearby.

Oprah preached at a church where everyone became fond of her.Oprah was very little at this time.Oprah stood up in front of everybody and preached.

At 4 years old she had no electricity,friends, dad or mom...She only had a grandma.Her mom had left to go find work in Milwaukee. Oprah’s grandma died and Oprah went to Milwaukee to her mom. She showed courage by being by herself with no friends. Oprah wanted to make friends and have someone to talk to.

In Milwaukee, Oprah’s mom went to go find work and left her often with her sister. She showed courage by looking out for her sister all day while her mom was at work.

Oprah’s mom never had time for her kids. Oprah was in charge of her sister. Though Oprah was scared she kept up her courage.

Oprah’s mom decided to send Oprah to her dad’s house in Nashville, Tennessee.This was hard for Oprah she had no idea who her father

was and if he would like her.This showed courage because she did not know her father at all and was scared that he would not like her.

Oprah takes time out of her life to help people and try something new.Oprah wanted to help the earth and try to connect people together with a mix of needs and personalities.

Oprah loved speaking and never gave up. Even when the company she was working for found out that she was not good at reporting the news, Oprah was moved to a different show were she was better at reporting and talking to different people.

Intelligent-Yellow

Oprah is very intelligent. She went to a school were she was the only African American. Oprah was smart and good enough to be accepted to the elite school.Oprah was brave enough to make friends that were wealthy while living under the poverty line.

Determined-Red

Oprah made the decision to stay in Milwaukee instead of going back to Nashville.“But Oprah told him that she wanted to stay in Milwaukee. She missed her father, stepmother and her house in Nashville. But she wanted to please her mother.” Oprah is determined to make her mom notice her. Oprah has the courage to stay in Milwaukee with her mother.

Oprah’s Dream RoomOprah’s Dream RoomI choose this room because this is Oprah’s studio.This is the place were all the broadcasting and the producing starts. This place is called Horst. Oprah shows courage by having this place to go on t.v. Oprah likes this place because she likes to talk and make a difference in someone's life. She does this by talking to the people who come in about their life and their experiences.

Oprah Wins!! The medal that I picked out for Oprah has a picture of a blue jay on it. I pick this out to show that you are free to live how you want to be. You don’t have to do something because someone tells you so. This, I think is the way that Oprah interprets life. I also picked this medal to show that this bird is staying on one branch but might fly away. That was how Oprah’s life was as a little kid, always moving around. One other reason that I picked this medal was because of the ridges around the edges. When I look at those I think life has some rough times but some parts of life are meant to happen so we can learn from them.

I chossed this piece because I thought that it showed that the world should be free and a safe place to live. I also think that it showes that we should stop having so many wars anad agree with each other and saving the people and the world.
