Questions Raised• How is higher education accommodating Hispanics?

The article states, “That even as Hispanics are making gains in overall college enrollment, the share of white freshmen enrolling in four-year colleges has increased more than among Latinos. While this may be discouraging, it is merely statistical.

Furthermore, “The increasing number of young Latinos on college campus is not only a function of rapid population growth but also reflects improved educational performance among Hispanics.

ConclusionRather than focusing on the gap we must focus on the positives. There is still some very beneficial information here. This growth in enrollment and interest in higher level education gives illustrates the further progression of multigenerational Hispanics who are the sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren of immigrants.
