Geography of assyriaBack to table of contentsThe empire of Assyria was located in what today is the middle east. It extended from Egypt all the way to present day Iran. Since they were in open land they were an easy target for an invasion. 4. ContributionsBack to table of contentsSince the Assirian empire was constantly in war they developed many inventions intended for war. One of them is the battering ram like the one in the picture above which they used to break through city walls. Also they used chariots like the one in the picture above to slash enemies. 5. Contributions part 2Back to table of contentsAssyrian capital Ninaveh became a place of learning because it had a library with thousands of records written in clay. Thanks to that we know a lot more about early Mesopotamia. 6. The fall of assyriaThe Assyrian empire had few friends and many enemies. One day two groups which were the Medes and the Chaldeans decided to make an alliance and destroy Assyria. Assyria finally fell in 612 B.C
