2- Teaching Holiday traditions to 4th graders. There are 20 students 11 girls, and 9 boys. There are 2 Muslims, 3 Jewish and 2 African Americans.

ASSURE Method

My fourth grade class will have the ability to demonstrate and describe four of the most common holiday traditions of Christmas, Hanukkah, Ramadan and Kwanza by watching films on each holiday and their traditions. Then in groups of 5, they will research and present to the class their assigned holiday and share their additional findings to their classmates. This assignment should take the course of two weeks with enough time to introduce, research and present each holiday. After research and presentation of each holiday, there will be 100% accuracy of understanding of the holidays and their traditions.
