Title: A page to share activities and questions! In this blog you are going to find some activities and good web pages to produce videos and images; you have to post your creations here and share them with your classmates!

Blog Entries:1. Why am I creating this Blog?

I have created this blog as an assignment of the subject: "Aplicaciones de Informática Educativa a la Enseñanza de Inglés" lectured by Lic. Paula Ledesma and to give my students the possibility to practice the past, present and future tenses using and having fun with different web 2.0 tools. They can ask me every question that they may have and I will answer them! In order to the correction of the assignment, I am going to take into account the clarity of your work, that is to say the choice of words,sentence structures; the grammar; and if you understand what you must do or not. 2. Web 2.0 tool: One true media

I love this page since I started using it, here you can create your own video, with photographs and music. It is easy to use, you only have to upload your photos and before publishing it, the page will ask you if you want to add some comments or change the music!Look at my example and have fun: www.onetruemedia.com

3. Web 2.0 tool: Newspaper generator

This page is great because you can create your own newspaper first page, with the information you like and you can invent the name of it. It is very easy to use, you don't have any links, in the same page you have to write the name of the newspaper, the title of the article and the article itself. 4. Web 2.0 tool: ZimmerTwins

This is an excellent page where you can choose between three characters, make them interact between each other; you can use your imagination and make them go to dangerous places and experiment great adventures. It is very easy to use, the page itself explains how to make the movie and, once you make it you can publish your story!Take a look at my movie!Example:http://zimmertwins.com/node/1214236

5. Web 2.0 tool: Taxgedo

This is a very beautiful page where you can choose the shape and words you want to appear in the image, in my example the shape is a witch hat and the words are about Halloween. It is very easy to use, on the left you are going to find the different tips you can change: words, colour, theme, the font of the words, the orientation of them, etc. You can use this tool to make a summary of any subject, thinking about the most important words you learnt.Example:

6. Activity Number one using Fodey

As I told you, this page is a Newspaper generator and, following these steps you are going to tell us where you spent your last holiday, with whom, what you did, if you had a good time or not, and everything you want to

add. Remember that you have to use Past tenses and the vocabulary we saw during the year!Good Luck.1) Make a draft paragraph in word so that you know what the newspaper is going to say.

2)Go to this page http://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper/snippet.asp, you are going to see this:

3)Below the sample article that the page gives you have to complete the next things: Name of the newspaper (the one you like most), the Date in which your article is going to be published, the Headline that is to say the

Title of your article and, the last thing you have to complete is Enter your story (the article itself)

4) Now you have to click on "GENERATE" which is the button at the bottom of the page:

5) It is going to open a new window with your own newspaper and, the last thing you have to do is to click on "download your image":

6) You will post the image bellow this Post as a comment with you name and grade!

7. Activity Number two using Taxgedo

In this page you have to choose the most relevant words from the text you make in the Activity Number One (previously I am going to correct your text in order to find mistakes) and, following these steps, you are going to produce a beautiful Taxgedo.1) Think about the words you are going to use in the image.

2) Go to this page http://www.tagxedo.com/app.html, you are going to see this:

3)On the left of the image, you are going to find a first link which says "Load", click there and a little windows will open and you have to enter the words you want where it says "Enter text" and then "Submit":

4) Once you have the words, you can change the colour, the theme (background colour), the font and the orientation (if you want the words in vertical-horizontal or a mix of both)

5) The last change you can do is the shape in which the words are going to appear, in my example the shape is a Witch Hat, but you can choose any of them:

6) Now you have to save your image, click on the "Save/Share/Print" button, choose "125 jpg.",change the name of the file, save it and post it bellow this Post as a comment with your name and grade:

8. Activity Number three using ZimmerTwins

In the third activity you have to use this very beautiful and good page in order to produce your own video comic; You can choose between the three characters and make them talk about where they would like to go on holiday, when, with whom, what they would like to do and you have to invent a problem for example they don't know what kind of clothes they will need or what the weather is like, then think of a resolution.1) Write a draft story in Word which is going to be the one you will use and send it to me by email: jess.e91@hotmail.com in order to correct it and give you the OK to make the video.

2) Go to this page http://zimmertwins.com, you are going to see this:

3)Now you have to register; on the left you will find a "Join the Site" button, click on it and complete the "User account" with your Nickname (your name), your parent's e-mail address (it can be your e-mail), your birthday, gender, your state (choose any of the list, you don't have an Argentinian state) and country. Finally accept "Terms and Conditions of use" and then click on the button "Join the site":

Now you have to check your e-mail which will give you your password; a new window will appear, you have to complete the gaps with your nickname and the password which appears in the e-mail, then click on "log in"

4) In this step you are going to start creating your movie!Click on the "Make a movie" button, then "make from Scratch":

5) You can choose between different ways of speaking, the character and where he/she is going to speak. To make them say something you only have to type whatever you want in the White bubble (where in the photograph says "Here you can see the movie!"):

You can choose what the character is doing, if she in alone or with another one, where they are and if they are holding something:

You can choose between different expressions, for example if your character is bored:

6) Once you finish the movie, you have to save it. You only have to click on the "Save movie" button, put a title and a description answering why are you making this movie, what it is about and any comment you would like to add and then clock on the "Save" button:

7) A new window will be opened where you can see your movie finished and have different options: "Delete", "Comment", "Share" and "Favourite"; you have to click on "SHARE" and send it to my e-mail.

8) You reach to the last step: copy the link which is on the top of the page, come to this post and paste that link as a comment with your name and grade.I hope you enjoyed this tool!

9. Activity Number four using One true media

This is a beautiful page to make a video but, this time, with photos of your last holiday. In the first activity you told us about it and now we want to see the photos!Choose your favourite photographs and put them in the video. Following these steps you are going to reach to the end of all the activities and when you have to present them in class you are going to tell us your experience.1) Select all the photographs you want to put in the video, make a new folder in your computer and save them there.

2)Go to this page http://www.onetruemedia.com/otm_site/register and complete the form and click on "Join now" so that you can have access to the video maker:

3)The second step is to start creating the video, you will see a new window with the instruction on how to make it and then click on "Create a New Video":

4) Now you can choose from where you want to upload the photographs: your computer, another video you produced, facebook, etc. Try to have them in your computer because it is easier. You will see a green display which says "Upload Photos and Video", click on "Select files":

5) After that, a window with all your computer documents will appear, look for the folder you made, open it and select them:

If you want to add more photos click on "Add More", if you want to remove any of them click on remove and select which one you want and, when you finished adding them,click on "Upload" and finally on "Done":

6)Your video is made but you can change the properties: the duration of the photos, the transitions, that is to say if the appear from the left or the right; the rest of the options are "premium" (you have to pay for them) so don't use them!:

7) Once you finish all this changes, you can see a the "Preview" mode to corroborate if you like it or you need to make more changes. Finally you have to save it clicking on the "Save" button:

8) A new window will be opened, click on "Update":

9) Go back to "My videos", there you will have your last video and three options: "Buy", "Share" and "Edit". Click on the "Share" button, in the next window click on the "Get codes" button.

10) Now you will need to choose a Player Style, the best one is "Medium Player" click on it, then in "Use this Style":

11) Finally you will see two different codes: the "Embed Code" or the "Url", select the "URL" option and post it bellow this post as a comment with your name and grade:
