Assignment 33- Social groupsJake, Sam, Idrees and Charlie
Young-Adult
•Represented stereotypically through him:
•Wearing a dressing-gown, pyjamas etc.
•Owning his own house
•Reading the newspaper
•Getting up early
Wearing night-ware
•Wearing night-ware is stereotypical of a young adult and makes the protagonist seem normal.
Owning his own house
•This, again, is stereotypical of a young adult as suggests that he is independent. This also adds to the secrecy of the character and could suggest that he is hiding something.
Reading the newspaper
•This is another stereotypical part of a morning routine and allows for him to seem almost too stereotypical in his ways, hinting to the audience that he is almost acting.
Getting up early
•This not only adds to the stereotype of a young adult but is also stereotypical of vampires, as suggests that he is getting up before the sun.
