THE AIMS AND TASKS OF THE ARTISTIC EDUCATION ARE INCLUDED IN THE NATIONAL CORE CURRICULUM PUBLISHED BY THE POLISH MINISTRY OF EDUCATION➤ supporting children in the process of developing
talents;➤ introducing children to the world of aesthetic values
and developing their abilities to express themselves through music, dance, singing, short theatrical forms, or visual arts;
➤ supporting children in their curiosity, activeness and independence
KINDERGARTEN EDUCATION AREAS WHICH DEVELOP ABILITIES AND BROADEN THE KNOWLEDGE OF ART
AREA 1: A CHILD AS A VIEWER; A CHILD AS AN ACTORThe abilities being developed in this area:
1. a child knows how to behave during different ceremonies
2. a child plays his/her part in semi-theatrical shows using their speech, body language, gestures and movement; a child can use props.
The abilities being developed in this area:1. a child can sing nursery songs and easy folk songs and
willingly participates in collective singing, dancing and playing instruments;
AREA 2: DIFFERENT FORMS OF MUSICAL MOVEMENT (SINGING, DANCING, PLAYING INSTRUMENTS)
2. a child can notice changes in the character of a musical piece (e.g. dynamics, rhythm, tones) and can express those changes in movement
3. a child can express his/her emotional states, different terms and other phenomena with different musical and instrumental activity (using drums and other objects),singing and movement
4. a child can listen to music carefully even to classical music
The abilities being developed in this area:1. a child can express himself/herself in different visual arts
and using artistic expressions (such as: shape and colour) in easy constructions and compositions
AREA 3: DIFFERENT FORMS OF VISUAL ARTS
2. a child shows within his/her possibilities interest in selected monuments and masterpieces as well as folk traditions and customs of his/her region
3. a child shows interest in painting, sculpture and architecture (including the architecture of landscape and interior architecture)
The abilities being developed in this area:1. a child can build block constructions and create
compositions from different materials (e.g. natural ones); a child feels supported ("I can do it") and feels happy when the work is done
AREA 4: SUPPORTING CHILDREN'S INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT BY MAKING HIM/HER INTERESTED IN CONSTRUCTIONAL GAMES; WAKING HIS/HER TECHNICAL INTEREST
2. a child uses simple tools correctly when doing arts and crafts
