DESCRIPTION

This session will demonstrate some of the new and interesting developments in mobile technology apps that can assist students with disabilities, their families and the professionals that work with them. Several apps available to assist students with disabilities will be discussed and showcased. If you have an iPhone, ITouch or IPad, bring it along! If you do not have one, there will be a few available for participants to share and try. SUPAC and Dr. Foley Alan were part of a team at SU to develop the free iPhone app iAdvocate providing parents a tool they can use to advocate for their children before, during and after an IEP meeting with a focus on meeting needs and working collaboratively with a school team to improve their child’s education.
