What is the background situation you are addressing?
Describe the context users are experiencing.
Who? Anyone who is struggling to find the right music they
like!
What? Someone hears a good song!
When? Any time, when listening to music!
Where? Home, or when wi-fi/internet is available!
Why? Unable to remember a songs name, because they
never got the chance to get the details of the song.
When someone listens to a song, which many of us do,
then the song is forgotten .
Many listen through the internet , YouTube, to find the
song but it then starts to frustrates them.
When they do find the song, it is very expensive and
costs much to be downloaded.
How can a song be found using different
features?
Using the scoping phase, we made a key
insight statement:
With our music identifier, we are able to
use the internet , and YouTube (already
made programs) and use them through new
features in the app to be able to search
the web.
My team, ATLC, is developing a mobile app to help people
who can‟t identify a song they have previously heard but
don‟t know its name, artist or tune. It enables them to
enter the information they do know, or hum the tune and
using this identify the song, and download it to their
smartphone.
100% of the people asked in our survey said they find it
difficult to find a song they are looking for when they don‟t
know the name of the song, which promises that our app will
be helpful and will fulfil a need within our target audience.
75% also agreed they would be willing to pay for our app,
which tells us that a major profit is possible. We are also
aware from our survey that the majority of our audience uses
a smartphone eg; iPhone, which gives us a greater audience.
The only other competition identified is an app
called „Shazam‟ but unlike our app, it only
allows the user to find the song and post it to
social networking sites, in oppose to ours
which lets you store the music, view charts
and have your own personal profile
High School Student:
“ Many of the other students listen to good
songs. The songs tune stays in my head and when
I want to download it or listen to it on YouTube, I
either forget or do not know the songs name,
and I’m left with a catchy song.”

Data Feasibility
Our app needs no content or any features from the mobile.
The owner will play the audio files when wanted.
Our app needs no authorization from any one but we are
going to be using YouTube and the internet.
Technical Feasibility
Our solution is technically easy to build because we do not
need any features that do not exist on the mobile phone.
Yes, a professional developer, could very easily develop our
app.
We have simplified our app to make easy accessible
features, to make the app have more positive reviews.
Business case hypothesis:
“ We think that most of our users that have
answered our survey will be willing to pay for our
app, „Music Identifier‟.”
Business model choice:
Statement: Our teams app „Music Identifier‟ we are
offering a buisness model were all users
are willing to pay.
Justification: Our team „ALTC‟ has identified that users
are willing to pay £o.69p towards „Music Identifier’
These are the three main things we are willing
to do for the marketing strategy.
1.Advertising over the social media eg;
Facebook, twitter.
2.Posters.
3.The word of the mouth.
We have managed to make a survey to see if we
could get a positive response on our app idea.
-
The feedback from the survey gave us a good
feedback, and we have changed the app to make it
easily accessible. Many users said that they would
download and pay for this app was on the app
store.
