arriving in the city, visitors can see buildings, temples, churches, chapels, monuments cobbled streets and colonial architecture ruins well, which retain their properties as if they had stopped time, allowing imagine the splendor of that distant time sharing it with contemporary activities.

City was declared in July 1965 City Monument of America by the Eighth General Assembly of the Pan American Institute of Geography and History, and in November 1979 was declared World Cultural and Natural Heritage, now all a historical relic of great tourist attraction for the world.

Its streets, parks and historic buildings are visited by tourists from all over the world every day throughout the year. The favorable climate of the region make this colonial city into a tourist destination available in any season.

Among the main attractions and more popular, we can mention: Church of San Pedro Hospital Ruins of the Church and Convent of Capuchins Church and Monastery Collection Ruins, Church and Convent Santa Clara Ruins and Church of the Jesuits Church of St. Augustine Chapel of the Holy Cross Church of la Merced Arco de Santa Catalina Ruins of San Francisco The Central Park and around the same for the four quarters: San Jose Cathedral, the Palace of the Captains, the Town Hall and the Palace Bakery Arcade among others.
