What is Make A Wish? • Make A Wish is a charity that was founded in 1986, the main

aim of the charity was to grant wishes to children with life threatening conditions.

• Since being established Make A Wish has granted over 8,000 wishes in the UK.

• Make A Wish is now the largest wish granting organisation in the world, they help to serve children in nearly 50 countries around the world.

Animation Idea/Concept • The idea for our Animation is that we want people to know

what the children’s dreams are about and how they have an opportunity for their wish to come true.

• The concept is that we want the animation to be in the stars so it is all about the dreams that the children want and how the logo will grant and represent the wish.

• The idea is that we want to show how different children can look with there conditions, the dreams of what they would like to appear above their heads and you would see them above their heads the dreams would float into the sky and you would then see them change into a star that would shoot into the sky to form the logo to show that the charity is all about making that child’s wish come true.

Character Sketches

• Here are our character sketches. We are currently still developing them but that is what we have come up with so far.

Set Design • Our set is a basic

plain background so that you can concentrate on the characters as they are the most important part of this Animation

Storyboard

Animation Techniques • We are going to use white board animation because we feel

that we will be able to get the best possible result for the animation that we are creating.

• By using white board animation we will have more freedom to do more and if we were to make a mistake when filming it would be easy to correct without making a mess of the white board and the rest of the animation.

Target Audience• With Make A Wish the target audience is any age that is

willing to donate. • The children eligible for a wish is aged from 3-17, therefore

the advert needs to show how much the wish means to the children to for their wish to be granted.

• The majority of people who will probably donate will be over 18 or someone who has been affected by this and wants people to have the same opportunity that other people have.

• Another person to target for this animation would be parents as they know how it feels to have a child and how they wouldn’t want certain things to happen to their children.

Feedback • I like the idea and the type of technique • Make sure sufficient emotion can be felt for the sick children • Intersperse it with real children? To make it real to people• Target audience will also include anyone who is a parent• This technique will take a lot of patience to ensure

professional standards are met.
