CHILDREN OF THE RAVEN

This painting is called children of the raven. It was painted in 1977 by Bill Reid. The elements of art used was Lines, Colour, shape, value and Space. There are lots of lines in this picture but mostly thick and squiggly with the exception of a few circle lines. There are only three colours in the painting ; Red Black and White. Bill Reid usually only uses those colours. The media used was paint and rag paper. The subject of this piece is children of the raven. I like this piece because lots of things are happening in it. This piece makes me feel happy.

XHUWAJI (HAIDA GRIZZLY BEAR)

This Painting is called Xhuwaji which means Haida Grizzly Bear in English. It was painted in 1990 By Bill Reid. The elements of art used was Lines, Colour, shape, value and Space. There are lots of lines in this picture but mostly thick and squiggly with the exception of a few circle lines. There are only three colours in the painting ; Red Black and White. Bill Reid usually only uses those colours. The media used was paint and rag paper. The subject of the painting is Haida grizzly bear. I like this painting because I like the way he makes the the bear. This painting makes me feel happy.

NORTH SHORE LAKE SUPERIOR

This Painting is called North Shore Lake Superior. It was painted in 1930 by Lawren Harris. The main elements of art used in this art piece are value and colour. Value is used in this piece because there are some parts lightly brushed and some parts are more solid. There are lots of different colours used in this painting but mostly very bright colours. The media used to paint this piece is oil on canvas. The subject of this painting is North Shore Lake Superior. I like this painting because it is simple and complex at the same time. This painting makes me feel good.

MT. LEFROY This Painting is called Mt. Lefroy. It was painted in 1930 by Lawren Harris. . The main elements of art used in this art piece are value and colour. Value is used in this piece because there are some parts lightly brushed and some parts are more solid. There are lots of different colours used in this painting but mostly very bright colours. The media used to paint this piece is oil on canvas like Lawren Harris usually does. The subject of this piece is the mountain that Harris decided to paint. I like this painting because It is so simple for a mountain which is usually so complex in paintings

GREENER PASTURES

This painting is called Greener pastures. It was painted in 2011 By Ross Penhall. The main elements of art used in this piece where value and colour. The value is some of it is shaded, and for colour there are lots of mixed colours which you will see in lots of Ross Penhall paintings. The media used was oil on canvas. The subject of this painting is a field. I like this painting because It is supposed to be in West Vancouver. This Painting makes me feel happy.

BACK ROAD TO BAMBURY

This painting is called Back Road to Bambury. It was painted in 2004 by ross penhall. The main elements of art used in this piece where value and colour. The value is some of it is shaded, and for colour there are lots of mixed colours which you will see in lots of Ross Penhall paintings. The media used was oil on canvas. The subject of this painting is a field in the fall with a mountain in the background. I like this painting because It is supposed to be in Vancouver. This Painting makes me feel happy.
