In order to create a urban but indie/rock magazine advert, as a group we needed to do some research to decide how we wanted it to

look.

This PowerPoint shows a range of adverts and posters that we considered when making the

advert.

This is a poster made by our chosen artist. This gave us an idea of what type of magazine advert we had to produce. The poster has not been completed for a magazine however. In the poster it has a establishing shot of the artist bang in the middle of the poster which shows the artist to its viewer. The title is also expressed in big letters in a urban way which illustrates the genre. The ad has some good points for a magazine ad however, such as the name at the top of the screen and the name of the album. But on ours we will need to show the release date and the picture of the released CV album.

The magazine ad has all the clear aspects that needs to be shown on a magazine ad. Ed Sheeran is a young artist which also specialises in the genre of our music video. The ad shows when the album is going to be released, where you can buy the album from, where it is available to download, the price of the album and the parental advisory logo at the bottom. Furthermore, I noticed the urban look he has given it. He has used dark colours but uses orange well to show his hair and the cat also may explain that he is a young artist due to how random it is.

Again this magazine ad shows all the aspects that is needed to be in our magazine ad. The artist is shown in big at the top of the cover. It also shows a young urban but cool vibe as the artist is promoted in the middle of the ad in a dark shade with colourful animals surrounding him. This shows what genre of artist he is. The ad also shows the release dates and comments from other artists to what they think about the album.
