Target Audience:From this poster I am able to interpret that the target audience of the poster and by extension, the film. It seems that the intended audience is going to be mostly male 15-35 years of age. This is because of the age of the protagonist and the fact that he has a love interest, used for male gaze. The poster also has quite a realistic and gritty theme to it which would further suggest that the target audience would be mostly male from 15 to 35 years of age. Genre:The genre of this film can be determined from the mise en scene of the poster; noticing that the main character is holding a gun, suggesting that the protagonist is a killer or a fighter of sorts, implying that there will be action and it may be the main focus of the production. Another way in which the genre can be determined is simply from the title and the reputation of the series that it is being added to, this may also out some pressure on the production to meet up to expectations of genre conventions as well as living up to the name of the series that it is being placed in.

Characters:The way in which these characters are being represented is very different but typical for the genre of action. As the main character, the male is holding a gun it would suggest he is a fighter and a good one, analysing his confident pose. This character knows fully what they are capable of. Then we have the character in the background looking, second-class and somewhat blends in with the soft background. She is also in very appealing dress, suggesting she is a love interest or just there for show, this would fit with the male gaze theory. Conclusion:From this it is possible to tell that this poster is very typical and conventional for the genre that it is placed in. This is not necessarily a bad thing as it still manages to be unique in its own way, using the style that the films have developed and put them into production on a poster. The layout of the poster is also typical but well done and with a clean looking aesthetic achieved through this.

Target Audience:From this poster I am able to identify that the target audience of this is going to be mostly males from the ages of 15-40 as the character is of an age in between this. You can tell that this will be targeted like this as of the themes presented in the poster; the main character is carrying a gun and his stance is quite aggressive. This shows that there will be a lot of action within the production itself and will be typical of its genre.

Genre:The genre of the film is represented very clearly on this poster as it uses mise en scene to communicate this. The main character has a gun and is in very basic but practical dress; this all communicates that the genre of the production is going to either be an action or a thriller film. It could be either as they tend to go with each other and they have very similar themes. Something that tends to be typical of this genre is the soft background and have the main character in focus in the foreground.

Characters:The way in which this character is represented is as a typical main character within an action movie. He is represented as aggressive, strong and the one that is in control. This can all be taken from the mise en scene and the stance and focus of the poster itself. The character also looks very serious but focused and it show that they know what they are doing and are able to control the environment that they are in.

Conclusion:From the poster it is possible to see that the production is going to be conventional for its genre. It has adopted its own style and made the production look independent in its own way. The layout that is used in this poster is not extremely conventional nor does it break many conventions. It still uses a soft background and the character in the foreground is in focus. It is possibly presented in a more simplified version of what a poster usually is, as it includes less textual information.

Target audience:From this poster I am able to gather that the age of the target audience is going to be somewhere from 15 to about 35 years of age. This is because of the age of the character and the general audience that action movies tend to attract. It will likely be a mostly male audience as of the genre and the appeal of this type of film and themes represented within them. An unusual angle and portrayal is used to capture the protagonist, suggesting that they will be quite an ominous character, befitting of the genre. Genre:

The genre of the film may be a little more difficult to determine than most others. This is because of what is shown on the poster and simply that it has a lack of visual content. The themes are clearly put across, and perhaps from this we can determine the genre of an action movie. The title may also help with the identification of the genre.

Characters:The way in which this character is represented is fairly unconventional of an action movie and possibly presents the character in a negative light rather than a positive one. It also conceals the identity of the protagonist somewhat by hiding some of the main features of their face, this only adds to the ominous image the is made of the character. Conclusion:From the poster it is possible to see that the production is going to be conventional for its genre. It has adopted its own style and made the production look independent in its own way. The layout that is used in this poster is not extremely conventional nor does it break many conventions. It uses a shadow effect to conceal the identity and make the character look ominous and somewhat evil.
