The representation of this song is about people who are not skinny. It represents that all people are perfect in the way they are, and they should love their bodies. This video tells that bigger size women are better ,because boys likes them more than skinnier ones.

The message that is passed to us through this video is that the girls who are worrying about their size and thinks that they are not pretty, they should think differently because not always skinny ladies are prettier than the chubbier ones.

The narrative of this video is simple ,but very well constructed to represent the meaning of the video. There are many ladies acting, one boy and a few kids. They all have their own roles and they trying to present everything in girly and quite fun/humour way.

Mise-en-scene

Shot analysis

Here is the first print screen where we can see lady coming forward to us, and girls who are standing from the sides are clapping to her like they want to show that she is very good and very pretty. This shot called medium camera shot which allows us to see the main singer and people around her.

Here is the second screen grab where quite chubby guy is dancing, which represents that even overweight people still can dance very nicely if they have an desire to dance. This is also medium camera shot.

This is third screen grab where all the ladies were dancing ,which shows the same thing, that they can dance and they are pretty by wearing short dresses and the hairbands in their hair.

This is the screen shot where a chubbier girl was dancing in front of skinny girl which actually was comparison between bigger size girl and smaller size. It showed that more rounded girls can dance better than the skinnier ones.

This is the same skinny girl which was showed as being skinny and a bit chubbier to make a view of how the same girl could look in different sizes and that the chubbier girls are more sexy.

This is sixth screen grab where the same bigger size girl is showed being as a Barbie in front of the table full of cakes, drinks etc. It presents that not only skinny girls can look and act like Barbie's.

This is the screen grab where the chubby guy shows by his body

language that skinny girls are not good enough if they are pretty.

This is again similar action where other girl pushes the skinny girl away with her butt, which presents that skinny girls doesn’t weight enough and they doesn’t have butt too.

This part of the video represented the differences between girl who are skinny and not ,and how they dancing .It shows that skinnier girl cannot dance in relaxed way because of hills and that the movements are more better of the one who is a bit chubbier.

Representation “Wish you were here” by Avril Lavigne

The representation of this song is about loneliness and missing of someone that you love. The environment, where she is acting looks very cold and not attractive. She represents the pain of the heart when you need someone close to you but you cannot be with him. She crying and the tears represents sadness and hard time she is living in.

The message that is passed to us through this video is when you are alone without the person you love you feeling lonely and you doesn’t want to do anything. This girl chosen a good environment to present loneliness by darkness, dirty and unclean building where no one is living.

The narrative of this video is also simple it is just one character which represents feelings and emotions of being alone.

This is the first shot where I can see a singer laying on a cold floor in a dark dirty place alone.

Here she is taking the leaves off the flower and throwing around. This shot represents loneliness and a sad feelings.

Here she was burning the flower with a lighter. This shot was taken from medium close up shot where we can only see her face and a little bit of her body. I think that this part represents the pain that she is feeling and she burns it to make herself feel a little bit better.

Here is medium close up shot .I can see her face and a little bit of the environment that she acting in.She is crying and from her face expression I can see that she is feeling sad.

This is close up shot and we can see her face, the dark eyeliner makes her tears to be black so it makes a representation of sadness and loneliness.

This screen shot also is close up shot and we can see her face expressions, emotions etc. She holds her hand next to her head to represent that she is feeling bad.

I like this shot where the shots are well matched up together and it goes from one shot to another. This shot allows us to see her in many positions and face expressions.

This shot again was really professionally made, I love when one shot smoothly goes to another. Here she was laying under the water which kind of represent her wish to die because of hard life and love.

This is long shot where I can see the place where the action is going and where she is actually laying. It shows that bath and her waking up from the bath.
