Benefits
Broadness: Altmetrics measure impact beyond science.
Diversity: Altmetrics can measure the impact of scholarly products other than papers.
Speed: Altmetrics permit impact to be measured shortly after the publication of a paper (or the completion of other products).
Openness: as a rule, it is easy to obtain Altmetrics data.

Top 5 best practices that Researchers (after published)
Share out the tittle of your research articles, including the abstractand keywords on your blog, website, community groups or social profile.
Make sure you link back to original source, where your publisher hosted, (usually there is a DOI provided by your publisher)
Tweet your research paper – either manually or automatically.
If you have the video presentation or powerpoint slides, do share out and point back to the original source
Do update your librarians or research managers, so that they can
list this out as latest article published by the team.
