Some Recommendations…Available in full from the Poster handout
The Centre for International ePortfolio Development
• Teacher time and core support/training including pedagogic application• eLearning support structures• Practitioners to promote buy-in• Use a flexible system (rather than subject specific) • Consider range of existing tools already available• Embed ePortfolio learning activities into curriculum• Consider how your students prefer to work (e.g. mobile technology, web 2.0) • Locate the e-portfolio tools within a wider toolbox• Build on capacity and expertise• Engage in the institution-free/institution-dependent debate, examining the scope of purpose • Consider issues around interoperability and portability
Just some examples of pilot activity…

From JISC ePortfolios InfoKit http://www.jiscinfonet.ac.uk/infokits/e-portfoliosadapted from a 2007 Becta report 'Impact of e-portfolios on learning', (Hartnell-Young et al 2007)
An e-portfolio has been described as:'a purposeful aggregation of digital items - ideas, evidence, reflections, feedback, etc, which presents a selected audience with evidence of a person's learning and/or ability ' (Sutherland, S. and Powell, A. 2007).
