A. ACTIVITY: Class, I will devide you into two groups. Each group shall be given a piece of cartolina and a marker.Here’s your instruction.I’m going to give you the words and your group will classify what kind of noun it is. Here’s the criteria of winning:

Actual Answer - 25 %Speed - 20 %Cleanliness - 20 %Delivery -

15 %Cooperation - 10 %Behavior -

10 % for a total of : 100 %

B. ANALYSIS: (Analyzing the given activity). Base on the activity we have done earlier, are you now able to differentiate the proper and common nouns?

So why do we have to capitalize the first letter of a proper noun?

Good. So what kind of a noun it is when it refers to things that can be perceived?

How about the things that we cannot perceived?

Proper nouns begin with a capital letter. Common nouns begin with small letter only.

Because it is a name of a person or places.

Concrete Nouns.

Abstract Nouns.

Good. If the word is referring to a group of people or things?

If it refers to things that can be counted?

Okay. When it is composed of two or more words?

Good. So when a word shows or declares ownership, what kind of noun it is?

Yes. Very Good!

Collective noun.

Countable noun.

Compound noun.

Possessive noun, Ma’am!

C. ABSTRACTION: (Presentation of a chart with few sentences written).

Class, what do you observe in the chart?

Okay. So what are the sentences composed of?

Yes. In the second sentence, why do we have to capitalized the fourth letter when it’s not the beginning of the sentence?

Very good, students!

There are some sentences written on the chart, Ma’am.

The sentences are composed of names of a person, place and things.

Because the fourth word in the sentence is a name of a certain place. It is a proper noun.

D. APPLICATION: Now, each group should have to illustrate any kind of drawing and you will construct a descriptive sentence of your illustration by using the correct labeling of the kinds of noun. The leaders of the group will be the one to explain the output of your activity.Are my instructions clear?
