ABOUT US European Schoolnet is the network of 31 European Ministries of Education, based in

Brussels. As a not-for-profit organisation, we aim to bring innovation in teaching and learning to: Ministries of Education, schools, teachers, researchers and industry partners. 

European Schoolnet pledges to: Support schools in achieving effective use of ICT in teaching and learning Improve and raise the quality of education in Europe Promote the European dimension in education

Through our activities, we aim to transform teaching and learning processes, using the integration of ICT as a force for improvement.

OUR MEMBERS European Schoolnet was founded in 1997.

Based in Brussels, it counts about 65 staff and experts.

The governing bodies of European Schoolnet are composed by the Ministries of Education who are full members of the network.

Members: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey

Membership under consideration: Bulgaria, Georgia, Iceland, Latvia, Romania and Slovenia

Observer status: Germany

REMITEuropean Schoolnet’s remit is to support mainstreaming teaching and learning practice aligned with 21st century skills, standards and expectations for the education of all students. 

We position as a THINK TANK that is able to help Ministries develop policies to support the educational

reform process at European level based on evidence and facts.
