Checking your Schedule

• Once you have registered for class by submitting an add form or using the online portal, you may check your schedule within the student portal. • Note that after submitting an add form, it may take 1-2 weeks before the classes are registered.

• To check your schedule for the upcoming semester, sign into your student portal at (https://mycampus.argosy.edu/portal/server.pt).

• On the right hand side you will see your current classes, and below, the current session with corresponding dates.

• Click on the right arrow to scroll to the next session. • Once the correct dates are showing, click on “Print Schedule.” • A new website will pop up with your schedule.

Your Syllabus

• Syllabi for classes are hosted at Argosy University, DC, should be available 1-3 weeks before classes start. • You can find the syllabus by clicking on “Syllabi” on the left-hand side of the homepage

of www.argosydc.net. • Be sure to double check that the syllabus is for the correct semester, class, professor and

section of the class. • If the syllabus is not posted a week before class, you may contact your professor. In most

cases, your professor’s contact information may be found on this website on the left-hand side of the homepage.

Your BooksYou may find the books you need in several places. 1. Books are indicated within the book list. You may find the book list within the Syllabi Page at www.argosydc.net,

under “List of Textbooks.”2. Your syllabus (if it is available) may also indicate the books needed for the class.3. You may find the book list at MBS Direct.

MBS Direct is the campus bookstore and there are several places to link to MBS Direct. • The MBS Direct link can be found at www.argosydc.net by clicking on the “MBS Direct” link at the top of

the homepage, or the “Library” link on the left-hand side of the homepage, or within your student portal (https://mycampus.argosy.edu/portal/server.pt).

• When you search MBS Direct, please submit the correct semester of the class you will be taking and the course code; it will bring up your Required and Recommended books.

• After selecting the correct campus, session, and class, you may see “Materials Available From The Instructor.” If that is the case, your text is an e-text.

• You may order your books from MBS Direct or any other book store; be sure to match the ISBN number. If the books are not posted 1-2 weeks before class, you may contact the program coordinator.

Your E-Books

You may find out if you have e-books in several ways.1. Digital books are indicated within the book list. You may find the book list within the Syllabi Page at

www.argosydc.net, under “List of Textbooks.”2. Your syllabus (if it is available) may indicate that the book is an e-text.3. You may check within your student portal and click on “My Academics” and on the right hand side, “View the Fall

Course List.”4. If you have exhausted these options and you are still unsure, you may contact you program coordinator for

clarification.

To access your e-books, please visit your classroom within the e-college platform of your student portal.

Signing Into ClassWe have several types of classes at Argosy University, DC. You can decipher the types of classes by

breaking down the section code of the class in which you are registered. Classes with an Online Component

• All classes that has an online component should be accessed on the first day of the session. •On the first day of the session, please ensure that your schedule between 1-2 hours to spend on your class work. This will ensure

you start class successfully. •If you do not sign into your classroom before the end of the Add/Drop period, you will be dropped from the class.

*Note that Lecture courses with E-Companions are not online classes. However, these classes will have online link within your student portal for you to access updates and notifications. It is still important to access the e-companion on the first day of class to view any updates.

• You may be able to sign into the online component of your class 1-3 days prior to the first day of class. If you would like to try signing in early, that is okay and it may be helpful.

• However, you must log into your online classroom within e-college after the start of the session but before the end of the Add/Drop period of that current session.

Classes with a Campus- Hosted Component• Attendance at all classes is mandatory, as attendance is an essential part of the course experience.

• An excused absence requires written documentation of urgent reasons such as ill health or critical emergencies with notification before class, if at all possible.

• Any class time missed due to an absence may impact your grade. • If you are going to miss more than 4 hours of the course, you are advised to withdraw from the course.
