“Green in nature is one thing, green in

literature another. Nature and letters seem

to have a natural antipathy; bring them together and they tear each other to pieces.”

Its to make a contribution towards securing a true peace on earth. It is

not just giving lectures. It is practically applying in your day to day life whether it’s any reason

which would benefit the mankind.

E- Waste management is undertaken in association with Nokia,GIZ,iDream. The students were explained about electronic wastes, its environmental hazards through various workshops. To spread awareness about the same the students too took a rally in the near by market area and neighborhood society .The students collected around 60 kg of waste from all the staff and students in the first drive itself.

Organic Farming……

Page 27: a green school

Another very interesting project taken by the school is growing vegetables

organically without using any chemicals.

Students of each class took the responsibility of selection of crop,

sowing seeds, tending them weeding and finally harvesting. We then had organic bazaar where the harvested

produce was displayed and distributed among staff and students

Be ‘fuel’ish or Be smartTHIS TREND IS BEING ADOPTED BY A LOT OF PEOPLE.AS MANY STUDENTS LIVE NEAR BY AND THEY COME ON FOOT TO SCHOOL.MOREOVER OFTEN 4 TO 5 TEACHERS CARPOOL AND COME TO SCHOOL..

YES OR NO TO PLASTIC ????

Page 35: a green school

Plastic bags and bottles, like all forms of plastic, create significant environmental and

economic burdens. They consume growing amounts of energy and other natural resources,

degrading the environment in numerous ways.

WE CAN DO MANY THINGS SUCH ASTake no plastic bags from the grocer’s shelf. Refuse plastic bags at the check-out counter.

SUSTAINABILITY

Page 39: a green school

We need to work out…

We live in a world where there are a hell of a lot of new inputs that need to be

factored in to your business. It used to be just about your employees and your

customers. Now there are all the issues about global warming, about

sustainability, about ethics and now about gender and the distribution of wealth.

Page 40: a green school

WHY GO GREEN?There is a variety of reasons to go green, but

most come back to supply and demand. We have a limited amount of resources available and more and more people using them up. If we want our

future generations to enjoy the same standard of living we've experienced, we need to take action.

For the environment…For a healthy life…….
