Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

As you can see here, I have greatly improved in Photoshop production:

I learnt how to composite images in a way that looks cohesive. I used more creative fonts, and planned my shots more. The levels, hue and saturation are more balanced. My photography skills have improved from just taking random photos with no planning, to detailed shots with more of a meaning. The layering is more cohesive in the second cover, whereas the featured articles in the first cover are all over the place. It’s more colour coordinated, using a very minimalist black, white and grey, with a small amount of red on Knight Six’s mask and the Madvillainy orange square reference in the corner.

My development throughout the project has helped me to produce more detailed work, and more of an understanding of the magazine industry.
