ResearchStrengths.Research helped me gain ideas and inspiration to what I can do with my podcast in terms of tools, sound effects and audio tracks. Researching different podcasts (some that do the same thing as I did) and learning how they present their shows helped me take notes on what the tropes are and how can I ad something new to the table. I also looked other podcast that do their shows in a different format to the review shows (adding music and sound effects and having it scripted) and seeing if I can translate all that Into my podcast. It was very easy to find different aspects to each podcast that inspired me to translate to my own. I also feel that my experiment was a perfect example on what I wanted in my final product. Research also helped me learn about what language the hosts use in their reviews and what audience would the shows appeal to which was interesting to me

Weakness. When writing down about the different shows that I have researched I could not help but repeat my self about the same thing over and over and I feel that If I was given more time to research more shows then I would be able to find something different to say rather then just the same thing about the same podcast over and over again. But other then that I feel that I have said on what I wanted to say.

Planning• Planning helped me plan out my schedule and when things need to be done on

each day. This was very useful considering how much I had to get done during editing and recording audio but planning helped me prepare for when things go wrong such as health and safety issues or if I louse work or if I run out of time. Planning helped me structure my schedule so that I know what I am doing on each day.

• I used bubbl.us which is a brain storming website that helps you plan out your ideas in a mind map. This helped my imagination run wild and as you can see in this screen shot I had a lot of ideas written down. I thought of different things I could do with my podcast and how I could present my show by adding sound effects and music and having everything scripted. Which is something that has not been done in a review podcast.

As for the negatives I had plans to create certain things that I whished I could have done but unfortunately did not go through any of it example of this Is the logos. I had screenshot different logos that I could use inspiration for my own. I feel like if I was given more time to create a logo then I would be satisfied

Time Management• I feel that I have managed my time very well part of that had to do with

planning it helped me plan my time wisely without procrastinating or slowing down. I completed my project when I needed to and I worked at a perfect pace without getting stressed or not getting it all completed.

• However I feel with additional time I would have been able to sort out the voiceover in my podcast. Because my voice was loud in some areas and to quite in other areas. I feel like additional time would have given me the opportunity to balance the audio out without having my audience completely jarred by it. So I feel some improvements could have been made.

Target Audience Appeal• My podcast recommend films that have elements that will mainly appeal

to my target audience mainly the crime, drama genre with some comedic elements to them. My main audience are mainly male so these films are mainly going to grab their attention and I have done everything that my audience requested on survey monkey in that I have done reviews for a filmmakers work in one 10 minute podcast and review films that have already come out. There is also the fact that I am male so a male host of a podcast my appeal to a male audience. I was also able to add in music in the background and and intro to my podcast which is something that they requested in survey monkey.

In the bottom you will see that there is a link and a screenshot to that link to a podcastShow that explore a similar genre to mine the main diffrence to this and mine is thatThis podcast show mainly have their shows recorded live and non scripted. And otherThen the intro they use very little music and no sound effects. The only thing they doThat is similar to mine is that they play a short clip of the film they talk about. Another Diffrence to mine and this is in length. A normal episode is roughly an hour and 50 minutesWhereas mine is 10 minutes. They also talk new releases whereas I talked films that have Already come out.

Aural Qualities

Overall I am very happy on how my work turned out but I feel theirs things that could have been done better. I like How I was able to use music from the soundtrackon the films I reviewed and blended in with my voice over. It felt very professional and I don’t think its something that has been done before in a podcast like this. I feelI used the music and the clips very appropriately. I also feel that it made my podcast more Interesting to listen to. I liked how informative my voiceover was I was able to back my Points up on why I liked these films and why I put them on the list.

As for what I feel could have done better. The audio was off in a few places sometimes It was quite in some areas and it was too loud in other areas. I feel like if I was givenmore time to improve my work I would have tried to balance my voiceover so that myaudience are not jarred when the volume of the audio changes. I also feel that I could have made my speech a little more clearer.

Audience Appeal

I feel I have done what my target audience have requested me to do on survey monkey. Have I done reviews for a filmmakers work in one 10 minute podcast?check. I reviewed films that are not new releases? Check. I have added intro musicto my podcast?. Check Etc. Another reason why I feel that I have appealed to my target audience is that the films that some requested are some crime dramas mixed with comedic elements and a lot of the films on the list are a perfect blendof these genres so I believe that there is at least one film that my target audiencemay enjoy. So I feel my audiences may be satisfied with what I made. I think that my podcast helps introduce younger audiences films made by someone who they are notaware of so they can seek out what film she/he does next.

Peer Feedback

Feedback 1

• What did you like about the product?– I liked the music you used for the intro and how a soundtrack out of one of Tarentino’s

films started playing when you introduced a movie on your Top 5 list that he directed.

• What improvements could have been made to the product?– I’ve only listened to the first 3 minutes, but maybe you should think about including the

reason why you placed a movie in your Top 5 list above others.

Page 12: 7. evaluation

Feedback 2• What did you like about the product?– I find the music has impact in the background, the voice over is

very informative where it explains the plot in a simple form and tells who is in the cast.

• What improvements could have been made to the product?– I would have had different films instead of just tarentino films.

Also the audio sound drops around 5 minutes so I would recommend to keep the audio sound level the same.

Feedback 3

• What did you like about the product?– Like the way you have introduced the top 5 film with the music to start

with and then between each film it suits the this type of podcast very well. You have spoken clearly so that you can get a clear view of the film is about.

• What improvements could have been made to the product?– Improvements on to speak a bit louder.

Peer Feedback Summary

• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?I do agree that the audio with my voice was way to quiet and I needed to speak up or change the volume of the audio when editing. It does feel uneven

• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?• The reason I am talking taratino films is because I am

introducing films form someone you might not be aware of and not stuff you are used to seeing a million times.

Peer Feedback SummaryI would definitely try to make my voice the same volume. Because having The audio change from quite to loud makes it jarring for anyone listening. The Audio Keeps shifting from loud to quite in parts of the podcast and I would have liked it to change it to just normal. Another way this could Make a difference is that I could have spoken a little louder when recordingAudio. Other than that I am happy with what I have made.
