A MovingDesert
Slowly but surely, over the past 100 years, a stretch of the

Sudan used to be a united country, and was the largest country on the continent of Africa.
After a six-year transitional period following two decades of brutal civil war, close to four million Southern Sudanese went to the polls in January 2011 to cast their vote, with 99% of all voters choosing independence.
