The main image is a popular Australian band called 5SOS. The music genre that they specialise in are Pop punk, Pop rock, Power pop. They would appeal to both boys and girls since they release songs that revolve around pop and punk.

The pose that they are doing is a selfie pose. The photographer made 5SOS do this pose to make the readers feel like they can relate to 5S0S since everyone take selfies.

Their outfits consist of clothes which are causal instead of wearing designer labels. Therefore this creates the impression that 5SOS are laid-backed and down to earth.

The clear weather and the widespread buildings that can be seen in the background could represent 5SOS’s home country which is Australia. Since all of the members are born in Australia.

The colours scheme consists of dark and neutral colours i.e grey. All of the colours are unisex colours therefore emphasising the point that 5S0S both appeal to boys and girls.

This image is taken as a wide shot. This shows the 5SOS members as much as possible in the image.

The outfit that Taylor Swift wearing is a long dress that has a lot of shrills on top of it which looks very girly and feminine. This reinforces the stereotype that all girls are girly and like to be treated like a princess.

The main image is an artist called Taylor Swift. She specialise in the music genre Country & Pop. She is a very popular music artist that has over 17 million subscribers on her Youtube channel. As of now she currently have two of her songs (Blank Space, Shake it off) that has reached over 1 billion views on Youtube. However she will appeal more to girls rather than boys since she often releases songs about love.

The antique frame and the chair make it seem like the photo setting for this image is very vintage. For example it could be hinting that this photo is supposed to representing the 1920s which would explain why Taylor Swift is wearing that particular type of dress.

The cracks in the walls and the trail of dust that can be seen in the background give the impression that the room had been abandoned a very long time ago.

The low key lightings used to create shadows of the antique frames and chair creates an eerie effect to the overall image.

The pose that Taylor Swift is doing make her seem very vulnerable and that she is waiting for her Prince Charming to come and rescue. Therefore this reinforces the stereotype that women can’t be independent and strong therefore they must rely on men instead.

The colours scheme of the photo shoot consist of dark and neutral colours such as grey. Therefore this creates a very mature feeling to the overall image.

Zara IqbalThe main image is Selema Gomez who specialise in pop as her music genre. She appeals more to pre-teen and young teenagers because, she is best known for her role as the main character for the Disney TV show called Wizards of Waverley Place.

Selena’s Gomez outfit can be identified as a business suit for women. This is unusual because most business figures especially CEO are often men and it is very rare to find women playing key roles in the business industry. Hence this could explain why her outfit colour is white since white is a unisex colour.

Also the colour of the outfit contrasted well with the background colours. Since white often goes with everything since it is a neutral colour.

Part of the picture background has been blurred beside from the main image. This technique is effective because it reinforce the reader to focus more of their attention onto the main image of the picture which is Selena Gomez.

The purple lighting illuminates half of Selena’s Gomez hair therefore giving her hair the appearance that it has been dyed with purple. Since the purple lighting make it seem like her hair has been tint with a dark shade of purple.

The purple lighting can be identified as low key lighting since it creates the plants to have their own shadows. This is an oxymoron to the right side of the background since the right side of the background uses high key lighting.

The picture is a mid shot. This enabled the reader to see most of the main image’s appearance and parts of the background. Hence this gives them more exposure to the setting of the photo shoot.
